Value Added Benefits

Patient Safety

Patient safety at AABP is of paramount importance. Through numerous quality initiatives including a comprehensive Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program, AABP tracks data on every procedure that we do in the hospital operating rooms and every procedure that is performed in Pain Management offices, ambulatory surgery centers or office-based areas. Our CQI committee reviews data from cases across our practice, discovering trends, applying the latest medical research in an effort to improve patient outcomes, and educating all AABP providers and partners on best practices.

Customer Satisfaction

We strive to continually improve the anesthesia experience for all patients. Our patients come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and religions with different needs and beliefs. These specific needs may make the way we perform our anesthetics more challenging, but we must meet the needs of our diverse community. Our excellently trained physicians understand those needs by attending meetings, conferences and through AABP’s numerous quality initiatives.

Perioperative Efficiency

At AABP, we strive to work as safely and as efficiently as possible. We have recently upgraded to the latest in Electronic Health Record (EHR) technology so that we may streamline record keeping, coding and billing. We collaborate with various administrators in our hospitals, ASUs and offices to standardize processes and ensure seamless communication with our surgeons and proceduralists.

We have initiated clearly defined patient optimization procedures to avoid case cancellations and wasted valuable resources. To help ensure perioperative efficiency, we have instituted strict preoperative testing protocols, a variety of progressive operating room efficiencies and a perioperative narcotic sparing pain management program.  Narcotic reduction is often achieved through our cutting edge regional pain block protocols, aiming for safer and earlier PACU discharge.  Through the above initiatives, AABP has achieved great success in eliminating wasted resources, improving perioperative efficiencies and boosting cost controls.

Our partners are well cared for and can participate in all of the efficiencies that we bring to the medical practice. By partnering with AABP, you will also have a dedicated team focused on reviewing data, indentifying opportunities and creating strategies to capitalize on them.
